The UVARA Report
The UVARA Report is used by those who are responsible for managing the unseen, those charged with the ongoing management of these critical assets on which hundreds of instructors and staff members, and thousands of students daily depend.
The report summarizes the quantity, value (equivalent to replacement cost), and replacement cost timeline of the existing underground site utilities. The inventory was populated from UVARA Interactive Maps which is used by Skyline College to digitally access the underground utilities.
Documented using The UVARA Report:
- Asset Values
- Replacement Costs
- Asset Attributes
- Remaining Life
- Budget Planning/Substantiation
- Strategic Priorities

UVARA Field Verification
For the Skyline College campus utilities depicted are based on original plans provided by Skyline College and field observations. During field observations some utilities were observed in locations that differed from the source documents. In each case the utilities were drawn to best fit the field observations based on the intent of the original source documents and maintain their link to the source documents. No underground utilities were traced, potholed or otherwise verified. Video inspections were not performed. Since the original campus is approximately 93 years old (the 17th oldest campus the 113 campuses in the California Community Colleges system), a series of inspections or capacity analyses is merited.
