According to NBC26 on August 18th:

In Aiken County, many are dealing with water problems as well. Nearly a dozen water main breaks have occurred this summer, and now those who live there want to know why.

The most recent one happened on Sunday along Partridge drive. A boil water advisory was put in place for 24 hours.

The city says it hasn’t seen this many breaks since 2012 and crews are working on the problem.

“We’re trying to establish, you know, do we have some older pipes in some older neighborhoods. Do we have water pressure concerns and we’re gonna investigate it and take corrective action as we find what the causes are,” said George Grinton, Aiken Department of Engineering.

City engineers say their trying to figure out if it’s a city wide problem or just an issue in one area.
