According to Wave3 News on August 1st:
Louisville Gas & Electric has confirmed that the gas leak affecting parts of the University of Louisville campus has been stopped.
Liz Pratt from LG&E says the gas leak was caused by a third party dig in to one of their gas mains. Gas was turned off in the immediate area and the leak was stopped around 8:30. Five customers remain impacted and may be without gas service until tomorrow morning.
Affected areas of the University of Louisville campus were evacuated Saturday afternoon as crew worked to fix the broken gas main.
The intersection of Floyd Street and Brandeis Avenue remains shut down as crews continue to repair the line for the next several hours.
