Two people were flown to the hospital with severe burns after gas line explosion at a plant in Osseo.

The gas line explosion happened around 1:15 Tuesday afternoon at Kings Valley Ag.

The Osseo Fire Department says crews were installing some new equipment at the site when an underlying gas line exploded.

EMS Captain, Kirk Gunderson, says one man was flown to a hospital in Minneapolis and the other was taken to the UW-Madison burn unit. He says both men were alert and talking and are in stable condition.

Gunderson says the fire had burnt itself out by the time crews got there. They are not exactly sure what was damaged at this point and are still investigating.

Osseo Fire, Gold Cross Ambulance, the Osseo Police Department, Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department and Tri-County Ambulance responded.

Kings Valley Ag is located on Highway 53 in Osseo. The company dries and stores corn.
